Call For Abstracts

We would like to invite you and your students or colleagues to submit a scientific abstract for the 2019 ISARP International Conference, to be held on the shores of Lake Geneva in Vevey Switzerland, October 4-6th. Please submit an abstract including title, authors, institutional affiliations and locations, and contact information of the principal author. Abstracts should be in English, no longer than 300 words and structured into: background, methods, results, and discussion.

Abstracts should be sent as unformatted MS Word document, without hard returns, 12 point text, Times New Roman. Abstracts should not include tables, diagrams or special characters. Abstracts not including results cannot be accepted. Please provide two keywords for your submission and indicate your preference to present as an oral or poster presentation.

If you are a student presenting the abstract, please indicate this in the abstract submission. We will continue the student-mentor match program. This program is a unique opportunity for students to discuss their work more informally with a mentor other than their supervisor, and, in addition, an interesting networking possibility. Students will be paired with a senior ISARP member who will review the student’s presentation and provide feedback and mentorship. If you are a senior ISARP member willing to participate in the student-mentor match program, you can indicate this in your abstract submission as well. The program coordinating committee (Pei-Ying Sarah Chan, Sarah Miller and Matthew Davenport), will contact students and mentors to propose matches upon acceptance of abstracts.

Lastly, we have been working with the journal Frontiers in Respiratory Physiology on a plan to publish abstracts presented at the meeting.  Please indicate your interest in participating on you submission as well.

Please email your abstract submission to no later than July 15th, 2019. Please also download the attached disclosure form, and attach the completed and signed form as a pdf to your abstract submission.

I hope you are looking forward to visiting Vevey, Switzerland, as much as we are looking forward to hosting you here!
